WHAT'S IT LIKE TO WORK ON A FARM??

Welcome to my work blog!

So, after some thought, I decided to start a work blog!! Over the years, friends and family seem pretty impressed upon telling them about the farm where I work. A lot of them seem shocked at the actual size of the nursery, and the quanity of product we crank out in a season. So why not keep a daily journal of what goes on here?

Hints of Autumn

Autumn is upon us once again on the farm, and noticeable color is beginning to pop up on some of our plant varieties.  Let the beauty begin!

Color me Pink!

Rosa Patriot Dream
We received this bunch of roses from our Oregon farm not too long ago.  A dreamy pink, these beauties are popping with color right now!  To the left, Juniperus x Daub's Frosted add a nice green contrast to the blushing hue.

Iris-It's spring 2011 at work!

It's growing season again, back at the farm at work!  I haven't been able to take time out of my busy schedule really to photograph everything that's been growing around here.  Today I had an opportunity to take a quick break to shoot these Iris varieties.  Unfortunately, the date setting was on the camera, which takes away from the beauty of the photograph.  I'll have to remember to check that next time.  :)
