WHAT'S IT LIKE TO WORK ON A FARM??

Welcome to my work blog!

So, after some thought, I decided to start a work blog!! Over the years, friends and family seem pretty impressed upon telling them about the farm where I work. A lot of them seem shocked at the actual size of the nursery, and the quanity of product we crank out in a season. So why not keep a daily journal of what goes on here?

What is that stuff?!

We don't know what it is.  We know it's everywhere on the farms.  After a full season of watering on the crops, this tends to show up on the ground in certain areas. It's slimy and slippery when you walk on it.  My fellow co-workers and I call them "brains" because of the obvious; they look like nasty diseased brains.  I was walking amongst a "brain" patch today, and thought of how disgusting this stuff was... wouldn't this make for good props in a horror movie? :0 (Gross!)

Peonies

A favorite of mine in the spring; Peonies are beginning to bloom!  The greenhouses are packed with them, and color is about to explode throughout! Some varieties have already begun to bloom.
