WHAT'S IT LIKE TO WORK ON A FARM??

Welcome to my work blog!

So, after some thought, I decided to start a work blog!! Over the years, friends and family seem pretty impressed upon telling them about the farm where I work. A lot of them seem shocked at the actual size of the nursery, and the quanity of product we crank out in a season. So why not keep a daily journal of what goes on here?

Little White House

Recently on the Container farms, a little white shed appeared. To some, it looks like a fish house. This is our new photo booth! Each week, a list is generated listing which plant varieties look spectacular. This list gets sent to our customers, and each plant on the list gets a photo taken of it so that the customer can see and purchase if they wish a plant off this list. Here, along with some of our "hot pics" of the week, is the photo booth on our farm.

Cham nookatensis pendula Alaskan Cedar in the foreground, waiting to be photographed.  I was nominated and given the responsibility to take the "hot pic" photographs on the container farms.  Happy I am!!  :)
An example of a "hot pic" photograph, taken in the photo booth for the company website.  This is Sp. Renianasance.
